Download our fantastic new fact sheet Prostitution: Fact or Fiction? Written in a question and answer format, it presents the facts very clearly.
Feel free to download it, print it out and distribute it as widely as possible.
Our new Frequently Asked Questions page now provides a list of questions and answers about prostitution prepared by the Women's National Commission Sexual Violence Policy Monitoring Sub-group in February 2008.
We have also added a new Articles We Have Liked page with links to relevant articles and blogs.
In particular, we recommend How to get an activist movement to keep women in prostitution. This feature about the campaign to legalise prostitution in Spain originally appeared in a Swedish journal. It's quite long, and unfolds slowly, but it is very powerful.

Canadian Marnie Frey, who was murdered by Robert Pickton, left behind a family deeply concerned with how her legacy is being portrayed and used in the media. They do not agree with the use of their daughter's name in the fight to legalize prostitution. They are "disgusted to think that anyone would think that prostitution is a job. It is not. 11 February 2008: FCAP formally launched |
FCAP was formally launched at a public meeeting on Monday 11th February at the Amnesty UK Human Rights Action Centre. Over 100 people with huge turnout and international speakers attended the meeting. Speakers included Gunilla Ekberg from Sweden, Jan MacLeod from the Glastow Women's Support Project, Aravinda Kosaraju from the Coalition for the Removal of Pimping and Fiona MacTaggart MP.
There were many ideas for action from the meeting. This website will be a campaigning tool and we intend to upload sample letters to your Local Authority, sample generic Trade Union motions etc. Read the full report >>
